Lucy's Blog

Sorry I have not blogged in a while, with so much happening in the quest for 20 winners this season!

There have been lots of visitors whilst the sun shone on us, including one of my faves Alfie and also owner Kirk Wilson and Bailey - who was a little concerned about what his dad was up to in China?!

This has given me plenty of excuses to indulge in my ultimate treat anyway - ice cream!!! You can leave your bacon and sausages, give me dairy any day!

It hasn’t just been me that has taken advantage of the good weather, Roc de Prince and Avidity managed to enjoy the river!

Had plenty of time to indulge in some Easter egg hunting with the stable resident chickens laying well, I even taught my friend Boots a trick or two. Boots has had to work very hard recently looking after her mum who had a tragic weekend we are all so sad for her and her family the yard really pulled together in an impossible situation. Life really is precious wish we could all appreciate it at the time.

I am becoming a bit famous at Weatherby and may become the new Mascot! - According to the lovely Louise. I was papped on arrival at the stables and then we had two winners at two tracks so a fantastic day.

Talking of doubles congratulations to yard Conditional Dale Irving who has had two doubles so far this season, for three trainers and he rode out his 7lb claim yesterday at Kelso which has to be one of his favourite tracks. We were delighted to be part of the doubles with Sa Suffit and Lord Wishes (Porsche) - two horses with some great history at the stables.

Not too much news on the stunt men and women displays despite my escaping to be on gallop watch!

Hope you enjoyed the festivals I was glued and I am now looking forward to our Scottish Festival at Ayr, good luck Avidity and Aristo Du Plessis.
