Everything painted and smart even the wheel barrows - thanks everyone and Scott!
New horses coming in from all directions and countries hard to keep track should have the names learned by the owners party - 1st September hopefully.
Lots of familiar faces to look forward to greeting back, with Josh Duffy, who is also bringing a new friend for me I hear -Stanislas (Good Barman), Steph Wills also returns and there are some new faces; James Fathers who will be the new Pupil Assistant who has come after a stint at Juddemonte - a good time to have been there with the mighty Frankel. Ps Brough Scott's book on Henry Cecil is a great read.
New connection to add with Sharrow Bay – a luxury Boutique Country House Hotel situated in the beautiful Lake Ullswater, all James Ewart Racing owners will have a special discount on rooms. James will be doing some talks through the season from here http://www.sharrowbay.co.uk/
Trainer out making hay every night so should be plenty this season - beats going to France for it anyway!
A new friend in the office -Joanne Carruthers who you will all get to know soon, she has only been here a week and has settled into the routine (or madness) very quickly. She will be helping with entries and declarations and all other racing admin, her direct email is firstname.lastname@example.org should you need to contact her.
Not at Cartmel today hence me having 5 mins to write - far too hot and I'm not really taking to the swimming all that well yet to cool off - sinking more than swimming so far!
Have to wait until the rain for Son du Silence and then we will be running on the flat again as well.
See you all soon,
Glad you are back in action Lucy, I thought you may have gone abroad for your holidays and gone to ground again! Ibiza seems to be missing out on the James Ewart Racing team nowadays - though I had an email from Paul (Tait) who said he was about to come.
