Lucy's Blog 15th August

A busy month for the yard getting the first batch of horses back on the road and the team back from their holidays - no easy task! We have some smart new horses in, I couldn't resist a few snaps, one goes by the name of Varene De Vauzelle (Fancy!) Or Momo for short! The other new boy is Anna Bramall's Argentix.

Some exciting new members to the Craig Farm Syndicate - transport managers Lesley Ann Wilson and Jim and David Merry Firm of Farriers - love tucking into the old hoof! So glad they will be coming racing too. More treats for me.

Some new concrete went down despite everyone's best efforts I christened the whole length of it - felt just like Hollywood! (May I just add not single handed).

My biggest fans David and Alison have jetted off yet again to Corfu think they spend so much time there they should design a Lucy Cocktail to remember me - has to be a shot of black Sambuca, or bisto gravy for under 18 pups a dash of milk or ice cream and pistachio nuts to decorate - my favourite things.

So many nice new horses think it will be 10 to follow this season. Well done to James Smith last years winner, runners up Zara and the late and very much missed Willie Cowe.

Our Furthest ever new owner comes from New York - would be good if we got a trip out there one day with a horse to run!

Hoping for not too much rain and plenty of winners this season as I need a new rug!

Love Lucy x
