A busy few weeks with a nice few winners along the way; 20% Chase and 24% Hurdles so far this season with 6 winners - great to see Lord Wishes back to his best at Wetherby and also Roc De Prince at Hexham.
With Lord Wishes win - youngest member of the team had her first bet (Natalie Moses) on him at 14/1 - sadly she will have to wait a while until she is old enough to collect her winnings!
The racing continues as we head to Kelso on Saturday and Ayr on Monday. Trips will be helped along considerably by the arrival of a new Theault lorry delivered by Atacanter and with Vanessa Robb Head Travelling Lass at the wheel.
We have installed a defibrillator in the stables and is the only one in our Burnfoot area so please spread the word.
James opened Dumfries business week as guest speaker http://www.dgchamber.co.uk/news7/1774-bw2015 a well-attended event and great networking opportunity also.
Briony and her mum, Anne Fraser & Virginia Scott Watson visited the Velka Pardububicka Steeplechase last weekend. Think the fences and ditches are out of my league but sounded like a great trip with Horse Racing Abroad.
Early enough to be asking but if you would like to order a JER Christmas calendar these will be available to purchase through the office - firstname.lastname@example.org
Lots of new horses and faces to welcome some yearlings for the flat season being broken and ridden away with a little help from me! And another arriving this week for The Golden Horse Racing Club. Also Lycidas an interesting flat recruit and a broodmare to add to the breeding projects - never a dull day!
Me I just keep working away keeping my head down (and ears up!) on the tractor! Whilst my poor friend Bisto has a broken leg - trying to keep up with the racehorses probably, so no fun for him for a while!
Enjoy the rest of your week.
